These are lyrics that epitiomize the craft.
Leonard Cohen

Well I heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
she tied you to her kitchen chair
And she broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well baby I've been here before
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew ya
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well there was a time when you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me do you?
And remember when I moved in you?
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Well maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who'd OUT DREW YA
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen in the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah

HARD COPY

The discs are here.

Wow, that was quick. A little bit less than six years. You would think we recorded a symphony and not a pop album. Though we are not complaining. It was a great ride. We enjoyed working in the studio, which actually was a basement, with Steve Gillis. (Who is expecting his first child shortly, way to go Steve!) Over the years, that little underground bunker morphed, and became Transient Sound, a huge billion dollar mega-studio. Remember who recorded by your sweaty pipes Steve! Pun intended!

The disc looks really boss, and I'm really glad that a stupid Craigslist ad gave us such a slamming logo. I wasn't expecting much. But a great artist in Missouri offered us the vector image that became our cover art. Strange, people can't always see the face in the logo. Which is actually just fine, we like a little mystery.

I guess we are off to get the album loaded on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, Pandora, CDBaby and the rest. I guess this also means I will have to keep the web site current and look at our emails. Which already seems profitable, because a company that licenses music for TV and commercials reached us today and put us in their catalog. Thank you ReverbNation and MusicDealers.com!

We've got a show at Uncommon Ground in about a month. I'll start practicing now because my singing range is getting lower every day it seems, and old Jonie Mitchell songs with the current Jonie Mitchell voice are a little weird.
